Aside from my closest friends and family members, whenever I get phone calls,

I assume that something bad has happened or it's an emergency.

But oftentimes it's simply a friend who wants to catch up.

And I've always found this very strange because I'm the type of person to prefer texting over phone calls. I will probably send a text to ask simple questions or to figure out when we're meeting. Or even when I want to catch up, I will usually send a text first, asking, “Hey, are you free right now to catch up?” or “Hey, would you like to catch up tomorrow at 3 p.m.?”

I like to give the person the freedom to finish what they're doing and to prepare for a little, relaxed catch-up session, whereas when somebody calls me out of the blue and asks to catch up, then they're requiring me to put down everything I was doing just so that we can catch up immediately. And I find that slightly inconvenient.

So I understand it's simply a difference in personalities and preferences,

but I think we should all adopt the “text first” policy.

Or even when I want to catch up, I will usually send a text first, asking,

아니면 오랜만에 만나고 싶을 때에도, 보통은 먼저 문자를 보내서 이렇게 물을 거예요.

“Hey, are you free right now to catch up?” or “Hey, would you like to catch up tomorrow at 3 p.m.?”

“지금 만나서 이야기할 시간 돼?” 아니면 “내일 오후 3시에 만날래?”라고요.

제 영어표현 테스트 노트에요~~

쓰면서 암기하는 것을 전혀 못하는 저이기에..

유튜브 영상 보면서 다시 적어보았는데 저한테는 그 방법이 안맞는 것 같아요.

그래서 필기하는 목적인 '표현 암기'를 위한 정리를 했어요.

40 넘어서 공부하는 것이 이렇게 즐거운 일인줄은..학교다닐 때는 왜 스트레스로만 생각했는지..

지금의 이 즐거움이 딸에게 전달되어 즐겁게 공부할 수 있기를 간절히 바래봅니다^^!!

 

아무튼, 저의 영어 공부하는 방법은

EBS 영어 에피소드 주제 골라서

1. 녹음하기

2. 모르는 표현 노트 필기

3. 노트 표현 암기 

여기서 중요한 점은 노트에 생각을 확장해서 여러 표현, 동의어 등 계속 적어 넣는 재미를 주는 것!

요거 너무 좋은 것 같아요~~

한창 영어 공부할 때도 이 방법으로 도움 많이 받았어요

 

워킹맘으로 매일 영어공부하는 것이 쉽지 않지만,

그래도 블로그 포스팅을 계기로 꾸준히 하려고 합니다. 약속! ^^;;
